Taylor Wimpey Postpone Appeal
TW and SDC requested and were granted a 3 month postponement of the appeal. Whatever the reasons, it gives us more time to stengthen our already strong case. The appeal has been postponed, not withdrawn, as promised by TW.

Taylor Wimpey Withdraw S.106 Monies
Stroud Dictrict Council have advised Taylor Wimpey that the affordable housing does not meet local policy, despite TW and Barton Willmore saying it has been agreed - False Promises!! TW are feeling a little put out by this and so have now said that they are withdrawing the £25,000 in S.106 monies promised to the village hall.

School Oversubscription Confirmed!
At last! Confirmation of what lots of concerned residents have been saying regarding Kingswood Primary School. In a letter to the Parish Council, Executive Head Ian Barkley states "I would however, like to point out that although the Local Authority saw no reason for a school comment, the observation that the school capacity is 120, and therefore can cope with an extra six or seven pupils, is rather simplistic. The school’s admission number is 15 per year group and we are already oversubscribed in several year groups."

Over 150 Objection Letters!
There are now well in excess of 150 letters of objection lodged against this application - a fantastic effort given the very short timescale, the lack of notice to residents and the non-appearance of letters and online objections despite being submitted well over a week ago! Technology eh?!

Don't be swayed by TW false promises!!
Taylor Wimpey have stated that ALL 9 of the Affordable Houses proposed in the 27 unit application will be "Intermediate" aka Shared Ownership for people associated with Kingswood and no Social Rented homes. THIS IS MISLEADING...

As a part of keeping the community feeling of the Village the KKaV will resist development within the Village that would detract from the current quality of village life.
There are presently two Applications for development of the same piece of land in the village, one of which has been refused and is going to Appeal.
